The blade core is made of high carbon Aogami super steel. The outside layer is with stainless steel finish in Takeda-sans own Kurouchi-style (NAS series). All knives are sharpened 50/50, so the knife is perfect for right- and left-handed users.
All Takeda knives are handmade, forged in Takeda-san own little factory in Niimi, Japan. For that reason all his knives are unique, and the size can vary from piece to piece since he doesn’t use any form of mold or template.
Takeda uses an octagonal handle with rosewood and a bolster made of ebony.
